After another terrible summer (that's two in a row now, must be better next year)-We finally had a few weeks of good weather at the end of September.
I was lucky enough to make the most of one of these sunny days and head out for a walk on The Stiperstones in South Shropshire.
We chose to take the "Shropshire Hills Shuttles" bus from Church Stretton traveling over the Long Mynd down to Bridges and then up again to the Stiperstones National Nature Reserve, where we got of the bus for a two hour walk along the Stiperstones ridge before dropping down to The Stiperstones Inn, where we jumped back on the bus for the rest of the journey through Minsterley, Pontsbury back to Bridges over Long Mynd again into Church Stretton.
The Shropshire Hills Shuttles mini bus service www.shropshirhillsshuttles.co.uk
is a good way of exploring this little known and beautiful area of hills. The bus service runs from May to September. So you will have to wait for next year. And hope the sun comes out!
