St Michael's and All Angles Church, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton in the Snow.

As mentioned in my previous post the first week in January 2009 has seen snow fall in Wolverhampton, this snow combined with lovely winter Sunshine has been great for getting out for local walks and some of our local scenes and landmarks have taken on a "new look".
Here is one more image taken a week ago of St Michael's and All Angles Church in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton.
This church was only rebuilt in 1950 (I think after an earlier fire but looks much older than that!). It is also a popular wedding venue.

Codsall Parish Church (St Nicolas) in winter

As well as visiting West Park in Wolverhampton, I have also visited a few of the local wedding venues, here are two images taken of St Nicolas Church in Codsall, South Staffordshire.
The Black & image of the statue in a personal favorite of mine!

Winter Wonderland- West Park, Wolverhampton

This week has seen the cold weather continue, and Monday the first day back at work for many people after the Christmas holidays, saw the first snow fall of the year (second of the winter) here in Wolverhampton.

This small amount of snow combined with plenty of winter sun shine has allowed me to get out with my camera and record some of the local scenes, in their winter beauty.

West Park in Wolverhampton is a popular location for wedding parties to go to to have some photographs taken after the ceremony. In the two images above it takes on a whole new look to that familiar to people in the spring and summer.

Christmas Lights

Christmas has gone so quick this year. Its already 3rd January! It will be Twelfth Night in a few days time and time to take down our Christmas decorations and lights.
So this evening I have been out to Tettenhall village in Wolverhampton to take a few pictures of the Christmas lights before they are taken down for another year.
